It didn't take long for the two emperors to start bickering.
Among the three Emperors, the Huiqing Emperor and the Dao Wind Emperor were considered friends since they had trained under the same master. But the Holy Topaz Emperor had been independent from them.
Emperor Feng was the strongest among the three, as such he had an obligation to stay away from smaller conflicts which was why he usually didn't interfere when the two emperor fought.
As the Holy Topaz Emperor knew he couldn't go against Emperor Feng he would usually end up clashing with the Huiqing Emperor. Even in the days of their youth, the two had been at loggerheads thus a scenario like this was common.
It was only the in front of their people that the Emperors kept their facade, otherwise they would simply devolve to being the same brash youths from before.
"Enough." Emperor Feng stated. "Now's not the time. We need to stabilize the empires." He ordered, not wanting to waste his time here.
He had benefited quite a lot from this and was already trying to digest the information in his mind. He didn't wish to get distracted by having to calm the two emperors down.
"Haah…. Fine." Huiqing Emperor said. "But only because of what we get to see and the situation at hand." He added.
"Humph." The Holy Topaz Emperor simply harrumphed in response and looked down at the Rust Sky World that had changed quite a bit. "Is it fine for the sky to be like this?" he asked, changing the topic.
The location where the Bridge Plane had appeared was now clear of all the asteroids. As such a clear patch of the world could now be seen, with all four continents visible to some extent."It's fine. The asteroids will eventually fill back up as time passes by." Emperor Feng stated. "Though it wouldn't matter much in a few years." He added.
"Why?" The Huiqing Emperor asked.
"Now that the Rust Sky World officially has a Celestial, the time for its own Ascension has come close." Emperor Feng replied, vaguely sensing the changes happening within the world with his Wind Dao proficiency.
He could sense the change in the winds as well as the Qi that was contained within it. Having lived in the world for so long, he knew how the winds were like usually, but today, they were a lot different. There was a hint of joy mixed in those winds.
"It's really going to happen?" The Holy Topaz Emperor's eyes went wide.
While they all knew that the Rust Sky World was close to World Ascension and was being monitored by the Immortal Court for it, they still knew it was at least a few thousand years away.
But now that a Celestial had finally been born on the Rust Sky World, it had rushed through the progress. It would take a a few months to study just how much the progression had been, but it was likely to be quite fast.
"Possibly in the next hundred years or less." Emperor Feng estimated.
"Hundred years…" The Holy Topaz Emperor found it almost unbelievable.
"Within our lifetime… HAHA! Our chances at becoming celestials just shot up through the roof!" The Huiqing Emperor couldn't help but jump in joy.
He would have begun dancing if not for his left leg's condition.
"Return to your empires for now. We'll have to hold a meeting with the Temple of the Guardian beasts soon enough. The reinforcements will probably be arriving anytime now too." Emperor Feng said as his final worlds before flying back down.
He was tempted to head to the location of the Crown Prince as he could tell all the big things had happened there, but he held back knowing that he first needed to calm his empire. 'If things were going wrong he'd contact me anyways.' Emperor Feng through as he flew at a great speed.
Lin Mu and the others were unaware of the short meeting of the Emperors and were simply coming to terms with all that had happened.
"Are there no more Chimeric beasts left now, Honored Celestial?" Crown Prince Feng Shun asked carefully.
"There shouldn't be." The Saintess confirmed, making everyone rejoice.
"HAHA! We are now safe!" they all cheered again.
"Looks like you went through a lot in this time." The Saintess said looking at Lin Mu.
His right arm was having limply by his side, while his hand was just bones at this point. His golden bones were visible, but had still been charred over.
"Indeed." Lin Mu said as he looked at the state of his arm. 'It isn't healing like before.' He realized.
Despite his body trying to do it, and his vitality begin plenty, the damage done to his right arm simply exceeded what it could handle. Plus since this was due to the overload, a lot of the energy pathways had also been damaged in his arm or simply destroyed.
Lin Mu's condition finally drew attention from his companions as they became anxious again.
"Daoist Lin Mu, your arm…" Ziran said with concern.
"It can be fixed." Lady Kang said right away. "I'll make sure of it." She took out a rather elaborate jade slip and activated it.
Holding it for a few seconds, she put it away.
"They'll be here within two days." Lady Kang stated.
"Who?" Daoist Chu asked.
"The Kang Clan's Medicine Hall." Lady Kang replied. "I'm also calling in others, too help with more issues." She added.
~WHOOSH~
As if on cue, strong spatial fluctuations could be felt again in the Rust Sky world.
"Now what is it?" Crown Princess Shang's face fell.
~HONGLONG~HONGLONG~
Large Teleportation gates opened up above the empires as all the reinforcements began pouring in.
The Immortal Court, the Three Aster World, and all the other allies that had been called upon were now finally arriving with the Spatial Lock being removed.
"Talk about being late for the party." Ziran said wryly. "Though I suppose it will still help in managing the aftermath."
