The Great Ocean Hippocampus's aura continued to grow as it rose higher and higher. It was as if the further it got from the Rust Sky World, the stronger it would grow. This was actually true as it had been limited by the world's limits.

Even if the Rust Sky world was close to ascension itself, it was still not a true Celestial World. As such the most the Great Ocean Hippocampus could do was to gather Celestial Qi and utilize the Key to control the Bridge Plane which was a Celestial Treasure.

It had done that and sent the Bridge Plane away. With that done, it had little time left to stay in the Rust Sky World, which it didn't wish to stay for any longer at all.

It had been waiting for this opportunity for a long time and it had finally presented to itself.

Having been Ordained by the Rust Sky World's will the Great Ocean Hippocampus was no longer restricted and could finally ascend.

~HUALA~ The experts of the Rust Sky world all felt the peculiar spatial fluctuations that came from the space outside the Rust Sky world.

"These spatial fluctuations, this can't be… An Ascension gate!" The Huiqing Emperor exclaimed.

"An Ascension gate is opening near the Rust Sky World!?" The Holy Topaz Emperor was stunned too.

The two Emperors had already been surprised by the sudden demise of the Chimeric beasts, which told them that there was a greater power at work here. Only Emperor Feng knew whose work it really was, thus he wasn't as surprised.

An Ascension Gate was essentially a Teleportation gate, but it was something on an entirely different level. Unlike the normal Teleportation gates that just went through the Lesser or Great Void, an Ascension Gate went through the Grand Void!

It was transporting one between two realms as such the only way to traverse it was to go through the Grand Void. But entering it required a massive amount of energy and skill, that most cultivators simply didn't have.

As such, majority of times something like this only happened in handful of situation.

Either it was someone descending from a Higher Realm, which was not the case here as the Ascension Gate wouldn't appear for that. Descending was a different process and was rather complex not to mention there weren't many experts that would even want to attempt something like this.

Thus the only viable option left was that someone was ascending to the Celestial Realm!

This was an unprecedented situation that had never happened before in the Rust Sky World. It was something every Immortal wished to witness with the hopes that it might give them some insights into their own ascension one day.

As such, the three emperors all flew to the space at their maximum possible speed. Even the Huiqing Emperor who was the most injured among them forcefully boosted his speed using his skills, so that he could have a chance at witnessing it. After all, this could be their only chance in life at witnessing this and they didn't wish to miss it at all.

Thankfully for them, Ascension was not an instant process and took some time for the Ascension gate to properly open. It followed the Heavenly laws and was very safe so as to ensure that the world around it would not be damaged from it.

The Ascension gate appeared in the form of a circular Formation Array that had runes which simply could not be read. They were so obscure and dense that even an Immortal Spatial Master would be unable to read them at all. But more than the Ascension gate what shocked the three emperors was the being that was currently undergoing the ascension.

"What is that?" Huiqing Emperor wondered. "A beast is ascending to the celestial realm?" "A beast as the first Celestial from the Rust Sky world?" The Holy Topaz Emperor felt a bitter taste in his mind.

He would have still been envious if it had been another human, but seeing a beast here was just a bit too much for him. Still, the man didn't wish to waste the opportunity and still watched it all.

"It's such a massive beast too." They all thought.

Emperor Feng though watched it all in silence, his mind fully focused on observing the beast as well as the aura that came from it.

'I cannot perceive its cultivation, thus it has already become a celestial.' Emperor Feng through to himself. 'And yet, despite being one, it is still in the Immortal realm… does that mean being a Celestial isn't limited to the Celestial Realm itself?' the man managed to find a clue in all this.

The three Emperor watched as the Ascension gate fully opened up, a dark channel appearing within the Formation Array circle.

The Great Ocean Hippocampus gave one last cry as a farewell to the Rust Sky world before heading into the Ascension gate. It didn't pay any attention to the three emperors as it no longer considered them as a threat.

The massive body of the Great Ocean Hippocampus entered the Teleportation gate and was seemingly sucked into it, disappearing within a second as the gate immediately closed up. It was faster than any immortal could react, and it was for a reason too.

There had been thousands of immortals that had tried rushing into the Ascension gate of another cultivator before, hoping that they might also become Celestial or at least enter the Celestial realm through it.

But none of them had managed to succeed as the speed of the gate closing was always faster.

The Three Emperors didn't try it either, knowing that they would only be courting death if they tried it. After all, Spatial channels that went through the Grand Void were often filled with danger and could be unstable.

Especially when one wasn't the intended traveler.

'This nightmare had a pleasant end at the end after all.' Emperor Feng through to himself.

The Three Emperors turned to look at each other, finally registering their presence.

"So you are here too." The Holy Topaz Emperor spoke first. "I thought you wouldn't come, being crippled and all that you know." "You're crippled, your family is crippled." The Huiqing Emperor retorted seeing who was mocking him.

The man's left leg had withered into a state where it looked like a dried branch. It was clear that the man had not been able to fully resolve the Withering Dao energy within it. Instead of letting it fester, and spread the Huiqing Emperor had let it be sealed within the leg, before purging the energy.

While he won't be able to heal his leg, he would be able to get a replacement made later.
