Ok… So… The other girls also had invitation cards that they could give out to anyone they wanted to invite to the birthday party I was hosting and… Err… Well…

I don't even know where to start for this…

So remember how Odeta claimed that she didn't have anyone to invite?

Well… When I thought about going to the training field to check on her, I found a really weird sight…

The Amrap was now hosting some kind of battle tournament where the winners will get an invitation card…

Why the heck did Instructor Henry even allow something like that to happen? Heck, it looks like he's even refereeing it!

I guess he saw this as an opportunity to get the students to spar instead as a sort of after school training… Which I could understand I suppose… Read new chapters at m_v-l'e|-NovelBin.net

I also assume that since Odeta didn't have anyone specific she wanted to invite and she didn't want to leave the invitations to waste, she just decided to arrange this competition to hand them out anyway.

If I look at it that way, I guess that was fine.

Then I went back inside the school and found a rather long queue of people that stretched from the school's kitchens to the canteen with the students carrying… Are those sweets?!

I used [Shadow Wall] to hide myself and snuck into the kitchen to see a large group of students making sweets in the kitchen with the usual kitchen staff helping them.

And once they were done, they would join the queue that was slowly inching forward towards the canteen.

I followed the queue towards the canteen and I found Delmare seated in one of the benches which was the end of the queue.

The students would then present their sweets to her which she would take a small bite out of, take her time to taste it, before either shaking her head or passing them one of the invitation cards.

It only took me a moment to realise that this was some kind of cooking contest where Delmare was deciding who to hand the invitation to by judging the sweets they were making.

I'm going to go out on a limb and assume that this was because she was expecting these students to gift me with sweets.

Not gonna lie… I actually started salivating at the thought and I needed to rush out of the place before I revealed myself and started eating all the sweets.

They all look delicious though… And it's such a waste that Delmare was only taking a small bite of it before returning it to them…

And now I'm hungry…

"Mistress, cookie," Katsuki offered, appearing out of nowhere.

Ahhhh!! I wuv you Katsuki!!! Om nom nom nom~

Ooooh~ This one has white chocolate chips! Ahhhh!! It's so good!!

By the time I was done with the cookie, I realised that Katsuki was already gone.

Huh… She really came here to give me a cookie before she left?

Oh what am I talking about, she definitely did…

Alright, that's two of them, now where is Lisa? Because I already knew she was going to hand the invitation cards to some of the people she might be trying to cuck. ŔÂNôβÈ𝓢

Err… I guess the first thing I need to do is to find out where she is though…

Oh wait.

I reached inside my Pack of Folding and took out my Ring of Searching to slip it on my finger.

I then visualised Lisa in my mind before activating its function, prompting the ring to point me towards her.

Following the compulsion the ring placed on me, I walked through the school while keeping my [Shadow Wall] up just in case I ran into her and to also avoid the gazes of my fellow students.

As I turned the corner, I found Lisa standing behind the school building with another male student who was obviously lusting after her without trying to hide it.

Lisa let out a sigh, "You see… I intended to turn him down but because he already gave me the invitation… I have no choice but to go or else I would appear rude. And if I were to go alone…"

The boy quickly spoke up, "I will go with you, Miss Lisa! That way there will be no misunderstandings! I'll find another invitation for myself!"

"Oh my, I didn't think you would accept this for me~ You are so reliable! I heard that there's a few competitions competing for the invitations in school right now."

"I will go and get one right away!"

He then ran off, almost knocking into me had I not merged myself with the wall at the last second.

As if on cue, another boy came from the opposite corner and rushed towards Lisa.

"Professor Lisa! You wanted to see me?"

Without hesitation, Lisa started acting conflicted, "Yes… I had… I received an invitation from another student to attend Aster's birthday party… You see… I intended to turn him down but because he already gave me the invitation… I have no choice but to go or else I would appear rude. And if I were to go alone…"

As if they all had rehearsed from the same script, the boy also spoke the exact same words as the guy who had just ran past me and offered to go and get himself an invitation so that he could accompany Lisa to the party.

He then ran off in the same direction as the other boy and I noticed Lisa taking out a small notebook which had a list of names and striking off a name on the list.

Ok, so Lisa wasn't giving out her invitations but rather, instigating them to go and compete for the invitations instead…

I'll just pretend I didn't see anything then…

I then snuck off from the place and also released my [Shadow Wall] to act like I had just left class.

A few students spotted me and rushed over to me.

"Sister Aster! Is it true that you are having a birthday party?!" One of the boys asked.

I acted dumb, "Eh? How did you know?"

"The whole school has been talking about it!" A girl squealed excitedly. "Is it also true that you are giving out invitations as well?"

I gave them a polite smile, "I was, but I have to apologise that I have already given out all the invitations."

Another boy shook his head, "That's alright! We just wanted to know if it's true that anyone with an invitation would be able to attend? Even if they did not receive it from you?"

"Ah… Err… Pretty much?"

"We won't be turned away as long as we have an invitation right?" Another girl asked, her eyes sparkling.

"No, of course not. That's what the invitation is for, right?" I pointed out.

"Thank you, Sister Aster!!"

The group of them then dispersed, leaving me by myself again.

Ok? I'm assuming that they were asking that question to see if Delmare and Odeta's invitation were legit or something?

I don't get it though… I shouldn't be this popular right? Why are there so many people so desperate to get the invitation to my party?

Was there something they knew about this party that I didn't know about?

What the hell have the girls been telling them?

At this point, I felt that it would be a better idea for me to just leave the school before I get accosted by other students to beg for an invitation.

I did not get very far before I saw a rather peculiar sight.

"I challenge you for the invitation and I place my position as Special Class Student as my wager!"

"Ha! I accept!"

One student was challenging another to a magic duel over my party invitation it seems…

Before I could even assume that this was just an isolated incident, I realised that there were already several duels happening a little bit further from them, all of them most likely also doing the same thing.

Oh look, that's the boy that I saw talking to Lisa…

"You! You have an invitation to that party don't you?! I challenge you for it!"

The boy who was being challenged frowned at him, "And what do you place as your wager for this invitation?"

He pulled out what looked like an enchanted dagger, "I will place this enchanted dagger! It's my family heirloom that has been in my family for generations! You can have it if you beat me but the invitation is mine if I beat you!"

"Ha! Then prepare to lose!"

No, no, no… The invitation is really not worth betting your family heirloom over!

Annnnnd… They already started fighting…

Seriously? All this over just a party invitation?

Now I'm questioning whether this invitation by card was even a good idea because I definitely wasn't expecting them to fight each other for it…

What about the people I personally invited? Would they not be able to attend because they lost their invitation to a duel?

Oh wait, they could just reject the duel right? So I guess if they end up losing it… That's on them?

Arrghhh! Whatever… I don't care anymore… You guys just do what you want…
