Desolate Domain was only the ancestral ground of Desolate Frontier - a testament to its boundless territories.

It had thousands and thousands of sects and kingdoms but none could rival this area, once the home of Desolate Ancestor.

The domain enjoyed all the powers and grand momentums of Desolate Frontier. Of course, the youths couldn’t discern all of this, only the dense spirit energy.

Princess Chen came from Sacred Mountain - a current behemoth in Old World. Unfortunately, this place was on a different level.

“Why did you come to Orchid Academy when you have this here?” Orchidcore couldn’t help but ask.

“Your dao system was good as well, so I ask you the same. Mu Hu responded.

“Not even close. My temple times ten cannot compare to this.” Monk Zhu said.

“Watch it or the old monks will punish you.” Princess Chen chuckled.

Monk Zhu forced a smile and looked around.

“Legends speak of twelve peaks, where are they?” Orchidcore asked curiously.

“This notion is inaccurate, they are more like mountain ranges with separate grand veins. They are in different domains too.” Mu Hu said.

“Desolate Domain is divided into more domains?” Orchidcore said.

“Yes, where we are standing right now is the largest area with the highest number of disciples, Myriad Peaks.” Mu Hu said before pointing forward.

The group looked forward and saw a mountain with numerous peaks surrounding it. The latter looked to be leaning and worshipping the central one.

“Everyone can visit to listen to the seniors such as elders and ancestors. Sometimes, our emperors come to give dao lessons too.” Mu Hu elaborated.

“What about the other mountain ranges?” Princess Chen asked.

“Normally, disciples can only go to this main one. All disciples are under its jurisdiction.” Mu Hu said.

“So anything below emperors and desolate gods.” Monk Zhu understood.

‘Pretty much but not absolute. Some disciples can follow their masters and grandmasters to the other domains, Imperial and Ancestral.” Mu Hu smiled and pointed at another area shrouded in immortal energy.

“The other eleven mountain ranges are inside those two domains.” Mu Hu elaborated: “Imperial Domain has six and Ancestral Domain has the remaining five.”

“In other words, the domains are separated by cultivation level. Emperors and primal ancestors have their own while disciples stay in the minor peaks.” Princess Chen said.

“Yes, but some emperors stay in Ancestral Domain. There is no absolute rule.” Mu Hu smiled.

“What about Desolate Immortal Peak?” Monk Zhu asked.

Princess Chen was filled with curiosity about this topic.

“It looms above the five mountain ranges in Ancestral Domain at the very center. It is the core of the core, perhaps the source of our lineage.” Mu Hu pointed at the horizon and couldn’t help but feel respect.

That area had a special significance in all members’ heart since it represented Desolate Ancestor.

The group followed his lead but couldn’t see anything clearly outside of a silhouette. This particular peak didn’t look larger than the others.

A powerful cultivator could peer through the immortal energy. However, there was a special force denying all curious gazes. It looked barren and empty while instilling a sense of serenity.

“Is that a main mountain range?” Princess Chen felt rejected while staring at that region. A mysterious power made her not want to speak.

“How magical.” Orchidcore and Monk Zhu felt the same thing.

“Yes, one of the twelve main mountains, Silence Peak.” Mu Hu said: “One must pass through it to get to Desolate Immortal Peak. We unofficially refer to it as Immortal Domain, separate from Ancestral Domain.”

“We can’t speak when we’re there?” Princess Chen asked.

“Not quite.” Mu Hu shook his head: “When we’re there, merit laws and techniques fall into silence.”

“What does that mean?” Orchidcore asked.

“Rejected, unable to enter.” Li Qiye said.

“Yes, so it is hard to gain entry even for emperors and desolate gods. Permission is necessary.” Mu Hu said.

“So another layer of protection. Was it created by Desolate Ancestor?” Monk Zhu asked.

“No, Silence Peak is the resting ground of Silence Ancestor. It became like this after the ancestor’s passing.” Mu Hu said.

“Silence Ancestor? It looks like my knowledge is inadequate, I do not know of this ancestor.” Orchidcore said softly.

“I know very little as well but according to the records, Silence Ancestor was not a member of Desolate Frontier.” Mu Hu said.

“Not a member but an ancestor? How does that make sense?” Princess Chen responded.
