Chapter 57: Stronger and More Confident

“Meow meow~(Of course. Can you find me a straw? I feel like I can’t drink any more from down here. )” Li Li asked, slightly raising his head. The glass jar was a bit too big; if he drank any more, he’d fall in and have to take a bath.

“Gurgle~(Hold on, Brother Cat, I’ll look for one right now. )” Upon hearing this, Matthew started searching his spatial backpack.

As Li Li waited, a very long reed stalk appeared in Matthew’s hand: “Gurgle~(I couldn’t find a straw, but I have this reed that I use to practice underwater breathing. Brother Cat, will this work?)”

“Meow meow~(Yes, yes, this will make it much easier to drink. )” Li Li said, using his tail to pull himself out of the jar.

This evolution potion was truly amazing. After finishing it, he felt strength coursing through his entire body, even to the tip of his tail.

Otherwise, trying to pull himself up with his tail would have been impossible without two and a half years of training.

“Gurgle~(Brother Cat, you drank so much evolution potion. Don’t you feel anything strange?)” Matthew asked, watching Li Li bite the reed and jump back in front of the jar.

“Meow meow~(Not at all. I feel great, my body is getting stronger and stronger. )” Li Li said, and started to suck on the reed with big gulps.

The potion in the jar immediately started to ripple, and the liquid level began to drop rapidly.

“Ding ding! A player from the same world invites you to join a chat group. Do you accept?” Just as Li Li was taking a big gulp, an electronic voice suddenly rang in his ears.

Matthew, on the other side, also received the invitation: “Gurgle~(Brother Cat, did you receive a chat group invitation from players in the same world?)”

“Meow meow~(Yes, I’m wondering whether to accept. )” Li Li replied, biting the reed. This same-world chat group should be similar to the channel chat group, right?

However, he didn’t expect that it could invite all the players in the same world.

“Gurgle~(I suggest you join, Brother Cat. Usually, when someone sends this kind of invitation, they want everyone to cooperate and complete missions together. )” Matthew said. To directly invite all players in the same world,

there must be someone who wants to complete a mission but can’t do it alone, so they’re inviting everyone to join forces.

“Meow meow~(Is that so? Then I’ll join. )” Li Li agreed to join the chat group.

“Hello everyone! I’m the creator of this chat group. The reason I invited everyone here,”

“is that I hope we can cooperate and eliminate the Zombie King together. Only by eliminating him can we influence the course of the world. I think everyone understands this, right?”

As soon as Li Li joined, he heard a strange male voice, but he couldn’t see the name of the speaker.

It seemed that this chat group wouldn’t reveal everyone’s identity; it was an anonymous chat.

“Yeah, yeah, no one wants to leave empty-handed, right? The reward this time is very generous.”

“That’s right, that’s right, I hope everyone can work together.”

While Li Li was thinking, other voices joined in.

“Gurgle~(So, after all that talk, where should we gather?)” Matthew asked. His voice in the chat group was processed.

“At this location. If you’re interested in cooperating, come find us here.” As soon as Matthew finished speaking, a location popped up in front of Li Li, showing how far he was from there.

“Meow meow~(Do you think these guys are the players who just attacked that big zombie?)” Li Li asked Matthew, biting the reed.

Even Matthew didn’t know anything about that big zombie, but these guys who suddenly created a chat group brought it up.

Then, nine times out of ten, they were the ones who attacked that big zombie outside the company.

After all, the only zombie in the entire city worthy of being called the Zombie King was that big guy. He couldn’t think of anyone else.

“Gurgle~(It should be them. But in the other world, the thing we should be most wary of isn’t the danger in the other world, but the other players. )” Matthew said, looking at Li Li. “Gurgle~(The Comprehensive Network doesn’t restrict players from killing each other, so don’t trust other players easily in the other world. )”

“Meow meow~(Then why did you take the initiative to cooperate with me?)” Li Li asked, subconsciously becoming wary.

“Gurgle~(Our strengths are similar, and most importantly, we can cooperate with each other. The benefits of cooperation definitely outweigh the risks. )” Matthew explained. If the other party wasn’t about as strong as him, he wouldn’t dare show his face.

“Meow meow~(I see. The Comprehensive Network is really dangerous. So we’re not going this time, right?)” Li Li said. Since Matthew said so, what else were they going to do there? Were they going to serve themselves up as food for others with just the two of them?

“Gurgle~(Let’s see if they’re willing to swear to the Comprehensive Network that they won’t attack their companions. As long as they do that, we can still go there with peace of mind. )” Matthew said. If these people didn’t swear, he definitely wouldn’t go.

“Meow meow~(Then let’s wait and see. )” Li Li said, looking at the remaining evolution potion. “Meow meow~(Do you have any jars or something? I want to store the rest of the potion. )”

He didn’t feel the warm current anymore after drinking it all, which meant the potion was no longer useful to him and couldn’t make him any stronger.

However, he could take it back to his litter shovel officer. After she used it, she’d be guaranteed to be full of energy and be able to climb sixty floors in one go.

“Gurgle~(Yes, yes, I just happen to have two big jars. We can split them evenly. )” Matthew said, taking out two glass jars from his spatial backpack.

He had thought the other party was going to drink all the potion without leaving a drop.

Now it seemed there was still a lot left. Perfect, they could split it evenly.

“Meow meow~(Alright. )” Li Li nodded, using his tail to wrap around the glass jar and let Matthew make a hole in the bottom to fill it.

He felt an inexhaustible amount of strength in his body now. If he faced those zombies again, he could punch them into the wall with one claw, one tail, and one whatever.

He, the little kitty, was no longer someone to be bullied in the dangerous other world.

“1314520”

An electronic sound came from the door of the laboratory. Then, the large black zombie walked in, hunched over.
